CORPORATION OF THE TOWN OF NEWCASTLE
BY-LAW 88 - 53
BEING A BY-LAW OF THE TOWN OF NEWCASTLE TO APPOINT A
DIRECTOR OF PLANNING AND DEVELOPMENT
THE COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF NEWCASTLE HEREBY ENACTS AS FOLLOWS:
l. That Mr. Franklin H. Wu be appointed as Director of planning
and Development for the Town of Newcastle, effective
8:30 a.m., May 9 1988;
2. That Mr. Franklin H. Wu be remunerated for his services such a
sum as annually determined in accordance with the terms and conditions
set out in Schedule "A" attached hereto;
3. That the said appointment be in accordance with the terms and
conditions set out in Schedule "A" attached hereto.

SCHEDULE "A" TO BY-LAW 88-53
TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF THE APPOINTMENT OF
MR. FRANKLIN H. WU
AS DIRECTOR OF PLANNING AND DEVELOPMENT FOR THE TOWN OF NEWCASTLE
The following shall be the terms and conditions related to the appointment
of Mr. Franklin H. Wu as the Director of planning and Development for the
Town of Newcastle, namely:
1. That effective from 8:30 a.m. on May 9 1988, Mr. Franklin H. Wu
shall commence his employment with the Corporation of the Town of
Newcastle as the Director of planning and Development;
2. That the duties and responsibilities of the Director of Planning
and Development shall be in accordance with By-law 82 - 9 as may
be amended from time to time;
3. That Mr. Franklin H. Wu shall be remunerated at Level 17, Step 15
in accordance with the Salary Administration program of the Town
of Newcastle;
4. That the employment of Mr. Franklin H. Wu shall be subject to a
60 working day probationary period at the expiry of which his
performance shall be evaluated by the Chief Administrative Officer;
5. That Mr. Franklin H. Wu shall be entitled from his date of hire
to all other employee benefits for non-affiliated staff as may be
determined from time to time save and except that the vacation
entitlement shall be three (3) weeks (15 days) commencing in 1988
fOllowing the successful completion of the probationary period.
