That Mr. Michael G. Creighton be appointed as the Deputy Fire Chief with the Town of Newcastle effective 8:30 a.m. May 11 1987. 2. That the said appointment be in accordance with the terms and conditions set out in Schedule "A" attached hereto. ATTACHMENT #1 . SCHEDULE "A" TO BY-LAW 87 - 78 Terms and Conditions of the Appointment of Mr. Michael G. Creighton as the Deputy Fire Chief for the Town of Newcastle The following shall be the terms and conditions related to the appointment of Mr. Michael Creighton as the Deputy Fire Chief for the Town of Newcastle namely: 1. That effective from 8:30 a.m. on May 11, 1987 Mr. Michael G. Creighton shall commence his employment with the Corporation of the Town of Newcastle as the Deputy Fire Chief; 2. That the duties and responsibilities of the Deputy Fire Chief shall be in accordance with By-Law 82-12 as may be amended from time to time; 3. That Mr. Michael G. Creighton shall be remunerated at Grade 13, Step 5 of the salary administration program of the Town for non-affiliated staff; subject to any general increases in salary approved by Council; 4. That Mr. Michael G. Creighton shall be entitled to all other employee benefits for non-affiliated staff as may be determined from time to time; 5. That the employment of Mr. Michael G. Creighton shall be subject to a 60 working day (3 month) probationary period at the expiry of which his performance shall be evaluated by the Chief Administrative Officer in conjunction with the Fire Chief. If it is determined that such performance is not satisfactory, then Mr. Creighton's services may be termi nated. 6. That Mr. Michael G. Creighton's vacation entitlement will consist of an equivalent of ten working days in 1987 following the successful completion of the probationary period. LuJ.~ . Michael G. Creighton Clerk
