HomeMy WebLinkAbout87-191 THE CORPORATION OF THE TOWN OF NEWCASTLE BY-LAW 87- 191 being a by-law to establish the Members of Council as Chairmen of Departments and to establish the Order of Proceedings at the General Purpose and Administration Committee Meetings THE COUNCIL OF THE CORPORATION OF THE TOWN OF NEWCASTLE HEREBY ENACTS AS FOLLOWS: 1. THAT each Councillor of the Town of Newcastle shall be designated as the Chairman of a Department as follows: {a} Planning & Development Department - Councillor Hubbard {b} SClerk's Department - Councillor Cowman {c} Treasury Department - Councillor Wotten {d} Fire Department - Councillor McKnight (e) Community Services Department - Councillor Stapleton (f) Public Works Department - Councillor Hamre 2. THAT the Chairmanship of the General Purpose and Administration Committee Meeting shall pass from Councillor to Councillor in the order detailed in the preceeding section. 3. THAT the Mayor shall be a Member of the General Purpose and Administration Committee. 4. THAT the rotation established in Section One shall remain in effect until November 30th 1988 unless sooner amended or repealed. 5. THAT this By-law shall take effect immediately on the passing thereof.
