THE CORPORATION OF THE TOWN OF NEWCASTLE
BY-LAW 87-140
being a by-law imposing special annual
drainage rates upon land in respect of
which rroney is borrowed rmder the Tile
Drainage Act, 1971.
WHEREAS owners of land in the municipality have applied to the Cormcil
under the Tile Drainage Act, 1971, for loans for the purpose of
constructing sub-surface drainage works on such land;
AND WHEREAS the Council of the Corporation of the Town of Newcastle has
upon their application lent the owners the total sum of $7,800.00 to be
repaid with interest by Ireans of rates hereinafter :imposed.
BE IT THEREroRE ENACTED BY THE CDUNCIL OF THE CORPORATION' OF THE TOWN OF
NEWCASTLE, that annual rates as set out in Schedule "A" attached hereto
are hereby imposed upon such land for a period of 10 years, such rates to
be levied and collected in the sarna manner as taxes.
