BY-LAW 87- 104
being a by-law to stop-up and close and to authorize
the sale of part of an unopened (unnamed) lane, All
in Block. IIBII according to the Lock.hart-Simpson Plan
of Part of Lot 12. Concession 2. former Town of
Bowmanville, now in the Town of Newcastle
WHEREAS the Council of the Corporation of the Town of Newcastle deems it
desirable to pass this by-law;
AND WHEREAS notice of intention of the Council to pass the said by-law in
accordance with the requirements of Section 301, Chapter 302, of The Municipal
Act R.S.D. 1980, was published in the Canadian StatesIDQn/on April 22, April 29,
May 6, and May 13, 1987. .
AND WHEREAS notice of the intention of Council to pass this by-law was sent by
Registered Mail to the Regional MuniCipality of Durham on the 16th day of
April 1987, and the Regional Municipality of Durham granted approval of the
proposed by-law by letter dated May 6, 1987.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT ENACTED AND IT IS HEREBY ENACTED AS A BY-LAW OF THE
CORPORATION OF THE TOWN OF NEWCASTLE AS FOLLOWS:
1. Part of that portion of the unopened (unnamed) laneway all in Block
"B" according to Lockhart-Simpson Plan of Part of Lot 12, Concession
2, former Town of Bowmanville, now within the limits of the Town of
Newcastle and being more particularly designated as Parts 2 and 3,
according to a Reference Plan deposited in the Land Registry Office
for the Registry Division of Newcastle (No. 10), on the 22nd day of
September 1986, as Plan 10R-2332.
2. All those portions of the unopened (unnamed) lane hereinbefore
described shall be conveyed by the Town of Newcastle to the
abutting owners.
By-law read a first and second time this 25th day of May 1987.
By-law read a third time and finally passed this 25th day of May 1987.
