BY -LAW NO. 89-81
being a by-law to appoint a Senior Municipal Law
Enforcerrent Officer
WHEREAS Section 68 of the Police Act R.S.O. 1970, Chapter 351, authorizes
the Council of any municipality to appoint one or rrore municipal law
enforcenent officers who shall be peace officers for the purpose of
enforcing the by-laws of the municipality; ani
WHEREAS it is desirable to appoint Mr. Duncan James Legget as Senior Mtmicipal
Law Enforcerrent Officer by by-law for the purposes of enforcing the By-laws
of the Town of Nev.castle;
NOO THEREFORE THE COUNCIL OF THE CORPORATION OF THE 'ImN OF NEWCASTLE
HEREBY ENACTS AS FO:LI.aVS:
1. That Duncan James Legget is hereby appointed Senior Municipal Law
Enforcerrent Officer for the purpose of exercising all the
~s arrl performing all the duties of a municipal law
enforcement officer in the enforcement of the By-laws of the
TOwn of Newcastle.
