THE CORPORATION OF THE 'lUWN OF NEWCASTLE BY-LAW 89-54 being a by-law to amend By-law 81-37, being a by-law to regulate the construction of driveway entrances upon the highways under the jurisdiction of the Corporation of the 'Ibwn of Newcastle WHEREAS the Council of the Corporation of the 'Ibwn of Newcastle deems it desirable to amend By-law Number 81-37; Nai THEREFORE THE COUNCIL OF THE CORPORATION OF THE T<.JiN OF NEWCASTLE ENACTS AS FOLLCMS: 1. THAT Schedule "An to By-law Number 81-37 is hereby repealed and replaced by Schedule "A" attached hereto and forming part of this by-law. SCHEDULE "A" TO BY-LAW #89-54 Driveway Entrance Type Payable to 'lOwn of Newcastle 1. 400 rom 0 x 7 m. length (replacing 15" x 24') $620.00 + $89/metre in excess of 7 m. 2. 450 rom 0 x 7 m. length (replacing 18" x 24') $675.00 + $97/metre in excess of 7 m. 3. 600 rom 0 x 7 m. length (replacing 24" x 24') $756.00 + $108/metre in excess of 7 m. 4. All "Actual Cost" WClrks will be estimated by the Director of Public Ybrks or his designated representative. The estimated sum must be paid to the 'lOwn prior to the approval of the Application for Property Access and/or the conunencement of WClrks. INSPECTION FEE $40.00 per Application Each Application for property Access must be accompanied by a payment of $40.00. 1. In the case of entrances installed by the 'lOwn, the $40.00 will be treated as a deposit and deducted from the cost of entrance installation, the payment of which balance is due prior to the issuance of approval. 2. In the case of entrance(s) constructed by a contractor approved by the Director of Public Ybrks, the $40.00 Inspection Fee is non-refundable.
