THE CORPORATION OF THE TOWN OF NEWCASTLE
BY-LAW 89-223
being a by-law to repeal By-law 86-8
and to amend By-law 83-83 as amended,
being a by-law to constitute a Committee
of Adjustment for the Town of Newcastle
pursuant to the Planning Act 1983
WHEREAS Section 43 of the Planning Act, 1983, provides that the
Council of the Municipality may pass By-laws to constitute and
appoint a Committee of Adjustment;
AND WHEREAS pursuant to Section 43 of the Planning Act 1983, the
Council of the Corporation of the Town of Newcastle did on June 13,
1983, enact By-law 83-83 constituting a Committee of Adjustment for
the Town of Newcastle;
AND WHEREAS Section 11 of By-law 83-83 designated certain persons
as being appointed to the Committee of Adjustment for the Town of
Newcastle;
NOW THEREFORE THE COUNCIL OF THE CORPORATION OF THE TOWN OF
NEWCASTLE HEREBY ENACTS AS FOLLOWS:
1. THAT Section 11 of By-law Number 83-83 be deleted and the new
Section 11 substituted therefor:

Members of the Committee of Adjustment of the Town of
Newcastle for the term of office of the appointed Council:
T.F. Rehder, 5 Beech Avenue, Bowmanville, L1C 3A1
Jean Payne, R.R. #3, Newcastle, LOA 1HO
Arnold Reichold, P.O. Box 433, Newcastle, LOA IHO
J.P. Murdoch, 243 Liberty St. N., Bowmanville, L1C 2M6
Gordon Barrie, R.R. #4, Bowmanville, L1C 3K5"
T. Sheehan, R.R. #1, Bowmanville, L1C 3K2."
2. THAT By-law 86-8 is hereby repealed.
By-law read a first and second time this 27th day of November 1989
By-law read a third time and finally passed this 27th day of
November 1989
