CORPORATION OF THE TOWN OF NEWCASTLE
BY-LAW 89 - 221
being a by-law of the Corporation of the Town of
Newcastle to appoint a Fire Chief and to repeal By-laws
#83-119, #85-74 and #87-78.
The Council of the Corporation of the Town of Newcastle hereby
enacts as follows:
1. That Mr. Michael G. Creighton be appointed as the Fire
Chief for the Town of Newcastle effective 8:30 a.m. on
November 28, 1989.
2 . That Mr. Michael G. Creighton be remunerated for his
service such a sum as annually determined in accordance
with the terms and conditions set out in Schedule "A"
attached hereto and forming part of this By-law.
3 . That the said appointment be in accordance with the terms
and conditions set out in Schedule "A" attached hereto
and forming part of this By-law.
4. That the following By-laws are hereby repealed:
a) #83-119, being a By-law to appoint a Fire
Chief.
b) #85-74, being a By-law to appoint a Fire Chief
and amend By-law #83-119.
c) #87-78, being a By-law to appoint a Deputy Fire
Chief.
By-law read a first and second time this 27th day of
November 1989.
By-law read a third time and finally passed this 27th day of
November 1989.

SCHEDULE "A'. TO BY-LAW 89 - 221
Terms and Conditions of the Appointment of Mr. Michael G. Creighton
as the Fire Chief for the Town of Newcastle.
1. That effective from 8:30 a.m., November 28, 1989, Mr.
Michael G. Creighton shall commence his employment with
the Corporation of the Town of Newcastle as the Fire
Chief;
2. That the duties and responsibilities of the Fire Chief
shall be in accordance with By-law 89 - 220 as may be
amended from time to time;
3. That Mr. Michael G. Creighton shall be remunerated in
accordance with Level 15, Step 11 of the Salary
Administration Program of the Town, plus adjustments that
may be made by Council from time to time;
4. That Mr. Michael G. Creighton shall be entitled to all
other employee benefits for non-affiliated staff as may
be determined from time to time.
