THE CORPORATION OF THE TOWN OF NEWCASTLE
BY-LAW 89-195
a By-law to amend By-law 79-104, a By-law to provide for
the maintenance, management, regu1ation and control of
cemeteries in the Town of Newcastle.
The Council of the Corporation of the Town of Newcastle enacts as follows:
THAT By-law 79-104 be and the same is hereby amended as follows:
1. THAT Section 8ii) be deleted therefrom in its entirety and replaced with the following:
8ii) BURIALS
Not more than two casket burials shall be allowed in one lot. Up to six burials at
single depth will be permitted in a vacant lot or a lot occupied by a single or double
casket burial. A burial plot initially used for ash burial may not later be used for
casket burials.
2. THAT Schedule "A" to By-law 79-104 be rescinded and replaced with Schedule "A" attached
hereto and forming part of this By-law.
This By-law shall come into force on January 1, 1990, subject to the approval of the Ministry of
Consumer and Commercial Relations.
By-law read a rust and second time this 30th day of October, 1989.
By-law read a third time and fmally passed this 30th day of October, 1989.
