THE CORPORATION OF THE TOWN OF NEWCASTLE
BY-LAW NUMBER 89- 173
being a By-law respecting the appointment of a Chief Building Official and
Building Inspectors.
WHEREAS subsection 2 of Section 3 of the Building Code Act, R.S.O., 1980,
Chapter 51, empowers Council to pass certain by-laws respecting the
appointment of a Chief Building Official and Building Inspectors.
NOW THEREFORE The Corporation of the Town of Newcastle enacts as follows:
1) The person shown on Schedule "A" to this By-law is
hereby appointed as Chief Building Official for the
Town of Newcastle.
2) The persons listed on Schedule "B" to this By-law are
hereby appointed as Building Inspectors for the Town
of Newcastle.
3) The person shown on Schedule "e" to this By-law is
hereby appointed an Inspector for the purpose of
receiving plans and performing inspections related
to fire access routes, fire alarms, fire detections
and suppression systems as may be required under the
Building Code Act, 1974 and the Regulations thereto.
4) By-law 76-23, as amended, is hereby repealed.
This By-law shall corne into effect on the date of passing hereof.
