BY-lAW 89-158
being a by-law to confim the proceedings of
the Counc i I of the Town of Newcastle at this
meeting held on the 18th day of September 1989
WHEREAS by Section 9 of The Municipal Act, beIng Chapter 284 of the
Revised Statutes of Ontario 1970, the powers of a municipal corporation
are to be exerCised by its Council.
AND WHEREAS BY Subsection 1 of Section 241 of The Municipal Act, being
Chapter 284 of the Revised Statutes of Ontario 1970. the powers of
every Council are to be exercised by by-law;
NOW THEREFORE THE COUNCIL OF THE TOWN Of NEWCASTLE ENACTS AS FOLLOWS:
1.. Tne actions of the Council of the Town of Newcastle at this
meeting held on the 18th day o~ September 1989
In respect pfeach recommendation contained in the reports of the
Convnlttees and each motion and resolution passed and other action
taken by the Council of the Town of Newcastle at this meeting is
hereby adopted and confirmed asif all such proceedings were
expressly embodied in this by-law.
2. Hle Mayor and proper officials of the Town of Newcastle are
Ilereby authorized and directed to do all things necessary to
give effect to the actions of the Council of the Town of
Newcas tIe referred to in the preceeding section nereof.
3. The Mayor and Clerk are authorized and directed to execute all
documents necessary In that behalf and to affix thereto the
sed! of the Town of Newcastle.
PASSED IN OPEN COUNCIL this 18th day of September 1989
