THE CORPORATION OF THE TOWN OF' NEWCASTLE
BY-LAW 89- /51
being a by-law to confina the proceedings of
the Council of the Town of Newcastle at this
meeting held on the 11th day of September 1989
WHEREAS by Section 9 of The Municipal Act, being Chapter 284 of the
Revised Statutes of Ontario 1970, the powers of a municipal corporation
are to beexerC1 sed by its Counei 1.
AND WHEREAS BY Subsection 1 of Section 241 of The Municipal Act, being
Chapter 284 of the Rev1sed Statutes of Ontario 1970, the powers of
every Council are to be exercised by by-law;
NOW THEREFORE THE COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF NEWCASTLE ENACTS AS FOllOWS:
1. Tne act10ns of the Council of the Town of Newcastle at this
meet1ng held on the 11th day of September 1989
In respect pf each recommendation contained in the reports of the
Comm1ttees and each mot10n and resolution passed and other action
taken by the Council of the Town of Newcastle at this meeting is
hereby adopted and confirmed as if all suCh proceedings were
expressly embodied in this by-law.
2. HIe Mayor and proper officials of the Town of Newcastle are
tlereby authorized and directed to do all things necessary to
gIve effect to the actions of the Council of the Town of
Newcastle referred to in the preceeding section nereof.
3. The Mayor and Clerk are authorized and directed to execute all
documents necessary 1n that behal f and to affixt'hereto the
seal of the Town of Newcastle.
PASSED IN OPEN COUNCIL this 11th day of September 1989.
