THE CORPORATION OF THE TONN OF N!.WCASTLE
BY-LAW NUMBER 89-, ..14&.,
being a ~-law to establish the scale of development charges for the TOwn
of Newcastle.
WHEREAS the Council of the Corporation of the TOwn of Newcastle has
established its schedule of development charges;
AND WHEREAS as the TOwn of Newcastle deems it advisable to update its
schedule to provide for an interim adjustment of the development charges
based on increases in the Southam Construction Index.
NCM THEREFORE, the Council of the Corporation of the TOwn of Newcastle
enacts as follows:
1. By-law 88-149 is hereby repealed.
2. The following development charge levies shall be payable to the
TOwn of Newcastle for all residential development or redevelopment through
Plans of Subdivision and Condominium, Consent and Rezoning:

3. All development charge levy collected pursuant to the provisions of
this ~-law shall be paid into the reserve funds in accordance with the
following proportionment:
Community Services 38.3 %
Public Works 45.5 %
Civic Administration & Museum 5.6 %
Fire Protection 6.0 %
Libraries 4.6 %

4. This by-law shall take effect on the date of passing hereof.
