THE CORPORATION OF THE TOWN OF NEWCASTLE
BY-LAW NUMBER 86- 58
being a By-law to amend By-law No. 83-22, as amended by By-law No.
83-156, to revise the scale of development charges for the Town of
Newcastle.
WHEREAS By-law No. 83-22 of the Corporation of the Town of Newcastle, as
amended by By-law No. 83-156, established a scale of development
charges.
AND WHEREAS pursuant to the prOV1Slons of By-law No. 83-22, the Town is
to review the schedule of development charges annually.
AND WHEREAS as a result of such a review the Council of the Town of
Newcastle deems it advisable to revise its schedule of development
charges.
NOW THEREFORE the Council of the Corporation of the Town of Newcastle
hereby enacts as follows:
1. Paragraph 1.2 of Schedule nAil to By-law No. 83-22 of the Corporation
of the Town of Newcastle is hereby amended by inserting the following
revised development charges:
Single and Semi-Detached Dwelling Units
Row Housing (including conventional
Townhousing, Street Townhousing and
Mobile Uni ts)
$1,245.00 per unit
$1,283.00 per unit
Apartments (including walk-up and higher
density apartments, rental and condominium)
$ 855.00 per unit
2. The provisions of this by-law shall take effect on the date of
passing hereof.
