THE CORPORATION OF THE TOWN OF NEWCASTLE
BY-LAW NUMBER 86- 52
being a By-law to amend By-law 84-63, Comprehensive Zoning By-law
of the Corporation of the Town of Newcastle.
WHEREAS the Council of the Corporation of the Town of Newcastle deems
it advisable to amend By-law 84-63, as amended, to authorize the
temporary use of land, buildings or structures pursuant to Section 38
of the Planning Act, 1983.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED THAT the Council of the Corporation of
the Town of Newcastle enacts as follows:
1. Section 6.4 "Speci a1 Exceptions - Agri cu1tura 1 (A) Zone" of
By-law 84-63 is hereby amended by adding the following new Subsection
6.4.23:
116.4.23
AGRICULTURAL EXCEPTION (A-23) ZONE
Notwithstanding Sections 6.1, those lands zoned A-23 on the
schedules to this By-law may, in addition to the other uses
pennitted in the IIAgricultural (A)II zone, be used for a Group
Home. Pursuant to the requirements of Section 38 of the
Planni ngAct, 1983, a Group Home may be pennitted for a period
of three (3) years ending M~ 12, 1989. The placement of
buildings and structures shall be subject to the zone
regulations set out in Section 6.3".
2. Schedule 1 of By-law 84-63 is hereby further amended by
changing the zone designation from IIAgricultural (A)II to
IIAgricultura1 Exception (A-23) II as shown on the attached Schedule IIXIl

3. This By-law shall come into effect on the date of passing
hereof, subject to the provisions of Section 34 of the Planning Act.
