THE CORPORATION OF THE TOWN OF NEWCASTLE
BY-lAW 86-44
being a by-law to appoint a Director of Public Works
The Municipal Council of the Corporation of the Town of Newcastle
hereby ENACTS AS FOllOWS:
1. That Gordon J. Ough is hereby appointed Director of Public
Works of the Town of Newcastle during the pleasure of Council.
2. That Gordon J. Ough shall be paid for his services such sum
annually, in accordance with the terms and conditions as set
out in Schedule IIAII attached hereto.
By-law read a, first time this 24th day of March 1986.
By-law read a second time this 24th day of March 1986.
By-law read a third time and finally passed this 24th day of March 1986.

SCHEDULE IIAII TO BY-LAW 86-44
TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF APPOINTMENT OF GORDON J. OUGH
The following are the terms and conditions of employment of
Gordon J. Ough as Director of Public Works, Town of Newcastle,
namely:
1. Effective April 7 1986, Mr. Gordon J. Ough shall commence
his employment with the Corporation of the Town of Newcastle
as Director of Public Works.
2. The duties and responsibilities of the Director of Public Works
are those established by By-Law 86 - 18 as may be amended
from time to time.
3. Mr. Gordon J. Ough shall be remunerated in accordance with the
Town1s policy in respect of the compensation for non-affiliated
staff and more specifically shall be paid from April 7 1986 at
Salary Grade 17, Step 2 in recognition of his past employment.
4. Mr. Gordon J. Ough shall be immediately entitled to all employee
benefits enjoyed by all other non-affiliated staff as may be
determined from time to time including the ability to take his
1986 - 1987 holidays of two weeks in August of 1986.
