THE CORPORATION OF THE TOWN OF NEWCASTLE
BY-LAW 86- 109
being a By-law to amend By-law 84-63, as amended, of the Corporation of the
Town of Newcastle.
WHEREAS the Council of the Corporation of the Town of Newcastle deems it
desirable to amend By-law 84-63 in order to prohibi t the expansion and
enlargement of existing residential buildings or structures unless such
building or structure is serviced by a private potable water supply and a
private sanitary waste disposal system;
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Council of the Corporation of the Town of
Newcastle enacts as follows:
1) Section 3.18 of By-law 84-63, as amended, is hereby further amended by
addi ng the words "or no exi sti ng resi denti al b uil di ng or structure may be
enlarged, extended or reconstructed" following the word "erected" in the second
line thereof.
2) This By-law shall come into effect on the date of passing hereof subject
to the provisions of Section 34 of the Planning Act, 1983.
