THE CORPORATION OF THE MUNICIPALITY OF CLARINGTON
BY-LAW NUMBER 94-83
being a By-law to adopt Amendment Number 58 to the Official Plan of the former Town of
Newcastle.
WHEREAS the Council of the Corporation of the Municipality of Cia ring ton deems it advisable
to amend the Official Plan, of the former Town of Newcastle to permit the lands on the west side
of Middle Road between Old Scugog Road and Concession Road 3, to be designated as a
"Separate Secondary School"
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED THAT the Council of the Corporation of the
Municipality of Clarington enacts as follows:
1. That Amendment Number 58 to the Official Plan of the former Town of Newcastle, being
the attached Explanatory Text, is hereby adopted.
2. That the Clerk of the Municipality of Clarington is hereby authorized and directed to make
application to the Minister of Municipal Affairs for approval of the aforementioned Amendment
Number 58 to the Official Plan of the former Town of Newcastle.
3. This By-law shall come into force and take effect on the date of the passing hereof.

AMENDMENT NO. 58 TO THE OFFICIAL PLAN OF THE
TOWN OF NEWCASTLE
PURPOSE:
LOCATION:
BASIS:
ACTUAL
AMENDMENT:
The purpose of this Amendment is to designate the subject
lands for a "Secondary Separate School".
The lands subject to this Amendment are located in Part
of Lot 13, Concession 2, former Town of Bowmanville,
and more specifically described as a 6.48 hectare site on
the west side of Middle Road between Old Scugog Road
and Concession Road 3.
This Amendment is based on Application 93-003/C which seeks
to designate the subject lands for the purposes of a Secondary
School for the Separate School Board.
The Official Plan of the former Town of Newcastle is hereby
amended as follows:
1. By amending Schedule 7-1 (Land Use Structure Plan _
Bowmanville) as indicated in Exhibit "A" to this
Amendment.
Exhibit "A" attached hereto shall form Part of this
Amendment.

AMENDMENT NO. 58
TO THE
OFFICIAL PLAN FOR THE

This Amendment No. 58 to the Official Plan for the
former Town of Newcastle which was adopted by the
Council of the corporation of the Town of Clarington
(formally the Town of Newcastle) is hereby approved
under sections 17 and 21 of the Planning Act.
