THE CORPORATION OF THE MUNICIPALITY OF CLARINGTON
BY-LAW 94-46
being a by-law to amend By-laws 86-154 and 92-7,
being by-laws to establish and appoint a Committee
of Management to Operate a Community Centre on
behalf of the former Town of Newcastle
WHEREAS the Council of the Municipality of Clarington deems
it expedient to further amend By-law 86-154, as amended, and
By-law 92-7;
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED THAT the Corporation of the
Municipality of Clarington enacts as follows:
THAT By-law 86-154 as amended, be amended as follows:
1. THAT Section 2 ( i) be deleted in its entirety and replaced with
the following:
2 (i) The Members of the Committee who are Members of the
Lions Club of Bowmanville shall be selected
annually by the Lions Club and their appointment
recommended to Council.
2 . THAT Section 3 be amended by adding the words II appointed under
Section 2(ii)" after the word "Committee."
3. THAT Section 9 be deleted in its entirety and replaced with
the following:
9. THAT the Corporation's Auditors shall, upon
request, have access to all the books, documents,
transactions, minutes and accounts of the Committee
for inspection.
4. THAT Section 11 be deleted in its entirety and replaced with
the following:
11. THAT the Committee shall submit with any grant
application, its annual report for the preceding
year to Council including a complete financial
statement of its affairs with balance sheet and
revenue and expenditure statement.
5. THAT Section 12 be amended by deleting the first sentence in
its entirety and by replacing the first word of the second
sentence with the word "Any."
6. THAT By-law 92-7 be amended as follows:
1. THAT Schedule "A" to By-law 92-7 be deleted in its
entirety and replaced with Schedule "A" attached
hereto and forming part of this by-law.
By-law read a first and second time this 28th day of
March 1994
