CORPORATION OF THE MUNICIPALITY OF CLARINGTON
BY-LAW 93-111
being a By-law to amend By-law 87-156, as amended, to
provide for licensing and regulating the keeping of dogs
WHEREAS the Council of the Corporation of the Municipality of
Clarington deems it advisable to further amend By-law 87-156;
NOW THEREFORE the Council of the Municipality of Cla.rington hereby
enacts as follows:
1. By-law 87-156 is hereby amended by deleting Section III(9) in
its entirety and replacing it with a new Section III(9) to
read as follows:
9 . (a) No dog shall run at large and no owner shall
permit his dog to run at large within the
Municipality;
(b) No person shall allow a dog under his care or
control to defecate on any property within the
Municipality other than his own property, and should
such occur, he shall promptly remove the excrement
in a hygenic manner and deposit it in a trash
receptacle.
2 . This By-law shall come into full force and effect immediately
on the final passing thereof.
