THE CORPORATION OF THE TOWN OF NEWCASTLE
BY-LAW 92-128
being a by-law to amend By-law 79-68, as amended,
being a by-law to establish a Board of Management to
operate a museum on its behalf (Clarke Museum)
WHEREAS on the 30th day of July 1979, the Council of the
Corporation of the Town of Newcastle passed By-law 79-68, to
establish a Board of Management to operate a Museum on its behalf
(Clarke Museum);
AND WHEREAS Section 3(a) of the said By-law provided that the
Board shall consist of two Members of Council and five other
Members who are qualified to be elected as Members of Council:
AND WHEREAS Council deems it desirable to further amend By-law
79-68, as amended, to provide that the Board consist of two
Members of Council and seven other Members who are qualified to
be elected as Members of Council;
NOW THEREFORE THE COUNCIL OF THE CORPORATION OF THE TOWN OF
NEWCASTLE HEREBY ENACTS AS FOLLOWS:
1. THAT Section 3(a) of By-law 79-68 be amended to read as
follows:
The Board shall consist of two Members of Council
and seven other Members who are qualified to be
elected as Members of Council, each of whom shall
be appointed by Council."
2. THAT By-law 88-59, By-law 81-10 and By-law 80-65 are hereby
repealed.
