THE CORPORATION OF THE TOWN OF NEWCASTLE
BY -LAW 85- 79
being a by-law to stop-up and close and to
authorize the sale of an unopened lane, all
in Block "CII according to the Lockhart-
Simpson Plan of Part of Lot 12 in the Second
Concession of the former Town of Bowmanville
now in the Town of Newcastle
WHEREAS the Council of the Corporation of the Town of Newcastle deems it
desireable to pass this by-law;
AND WHEREAS notice of intention of the Council to pass the said by~law in
accordance with the requirements of Section 301, Chapter 302, of the Municipal
Act, R.S.O. 1980, was published in the Canadian Statesman on May 15th, May 22nd,
May 29th and June 5th 1985;
AND WHEREAS notice of the intention of Council to pass this by-law was sent
by Registered Mail to the Regional Municipality of Durham on the 10th day of
May 1985, and the Regional Municipality of Durham granted approval of the
proposed by-law by letter dated the 23rd day of May 1985.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT ENACTED AND IT IS HEREBY ENACTED AS A BY-LAW OF THE
CORPORATION OF THE TOWN OF NEWCASTLE AS FOLLOWS:
1. ALL of that portion of the unopened lane, lying between Town
Lots 13 and 14 of Block 'C' and Town Lots 6 and 7 of Block 'C"
according to the Lockhart-Simpson Plan of Part of Lot 12 in the
Second Concession of the former Town of Bowmanville, now within
the Limits of the Town of Newcastle, and being more particularly
designated as Part 2, according to a Reference Plan deposited
in the Land Registry Office for the Registry Division of
Newcastle (No. 10), on the 15th day of August 1984, as
Plan 10R-1885.
2. ALL that portion of the unopened lane hereinbefore described shall be
conveyed by the Town of Newcastle to the abutting owners.
By-law read a first and second time this 10th day of June 1985
By-law read a third time and finally passed this 10th day of June 1985
