THE CORPORATION OF THE TOWN OF NEWCASTLE
BY -LAW NUMBER 85- 47
being a By-law to amend By-law 84-63, Comprehensive Zoning By-law
of the Corporation of the Town of Newcastle.
WHEREAS the Council of the Corporation of the Town of Newcastle deems
it advisable to amend By-law 84-63 of the Corporation of the Town of
Newcastle.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED THAT the Council of the Corporation of
the Town of Newcastle enacts as follows:
1. By-law 84-151 of the Corporation of the Town of Newcastle is
hereby repealed.
2. Section 25.4.1 of By-law 84-63 is hereby amended by adding
thereto the following after the words "manufacturing plant":
"and a maximum of two (2) residential dwelling units for a
manager, caretaker, watchmen, or other similar persons
emp 1 oyed on the same lot and thei r fami 1 i es II .
3. Section 25.4 of By-law 84-63 is hereby amended by adding
the following new Subsection 25.4.2.
"25.4.2 EXTRACTIVE INDUSTRIAL EXCEPTION (M3-2) ZONE
Notwithstanding Section 25.1 those lands zoned M3-2 on the
Schedules to this By-law may only be used for a ready-mix
concrete manufacturing plant and/or a transportation depot in
accordance with the zone provisions of Section 24.2 hereof".
4. Schedule 3 of By-law 84-63 is hereby amended as follows:
a. by adding an IM3-2" zone designation to the lands so
desi gnated on the attached Schedule "X" hereto.
5. This By-law shall come into effect on the date of passing
hereof, subject to the provisions of Section 34 of the Planning Act.
