BE IT ENACTED AND IT IS HEREBY ENACTED AS A BY-LAW OF THE CORPORATION OF THE
TOWN OF NEWCASTLE, BY THE COUNCIL THEREOF, AS FOLLOWS:
The following land is hereby established as a Public Highway known as
Mearns Avenue in the former Town of Bowmanville, now within the Town of
Newcastle.
The said land hereby established as a Public Highway is described as follows:
ALL AND SINGULAR that certain parcel or
tract of land and premises, situate, lying
and being in the Town of Newcastle in the
Regional Municipality of Durham, formerly
Parts of Lot 8, Broken Front Concession and
Parts of Blocks 11 and 14, Smart Estate Plan
(being Part of Lot 9, Broken Front Concession)
and Parts of a road allowance between Lots 8
and 9, Broken Front Concession (Mearns Avenue),
more particularly described as Part 12A on
Registered Reference Plan 10R-750, deposited
in the Land Registry Office for the Registry
Division of Newcastle (No. 10) on August
31st 1977.
By-law read a fi rst and second time this 9th day of April 198&.
By-law read a third time and finally passed this 9th day of April 198a.
