THE CORPORATION OF THE TOWN OF NEWCASTLE
BY-LAW 82 - 171
being a by-law to appoint a Confidential SecretarYt
Treasury Department
The Municipal Council of the Corporation of the Town of Newcastle
HEREBY ENACTS AS FOLLOWS:
1. That Mrs. G. Forrester is hereby appointed
"Confidential Secretary, Treasury Department"; and
2. That said appointment shall be in accordance with
the terms and conditions as set out in Schedule "A"
attached hereto; and
3. That Mrs. G. Forrester shall be paid for her services
at the rate appropriate for Step 3 of Salary Grade 3 of
the salary scale established for non-union employees.

Schedule "A" to By-Law 82 - 171
TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF APPOINTMENT OF MRS. G. FORRESTER
1. Effective immediately
Mrs. G. Forrester shall be
re-appointed to the position of Confidential SecretarYt
Treasury Department.
2. The duties and responsibilities of the Confidential Secretary,
Treasury Department are those set out in Schedule "A" to
By-Law 82 - 170.
3. Mrs. G. Forrester shall be remunerated in accordance with the
Town's policy in respect of the compensation for non-union
staff and more specifically shall be paid,
Sa 1 ary Grade .3, Step 3.
4. Mrs. G. Forrester shall be entitled to all other non-union
employee benefits as may be determined from time to time.

QUALIFICATIONS
1. Minimum Grade 13 education and post matriculation
secretarial training and/or equivalent experience.
2. Three years of office experience with at least one year
in a confidential secretarial capacity.
3. Knowledge of office procedures, record keeping systems,
proficiency in shorthand, dictaphone and knowledge of other
business machines and procedures.
4. Ability to communicate effectively with other staff and
the public.
5. Valid Motor Vehicle Operator's Licence.
