THE CORPORATION OF THE TOWN OF NEWCASTLE
BY-LAW 82-17
being a by-law to appoint a "Director of Planning"
The Municipal Council of the Corporation of the Town of Newcastle
HEREBY ENACTS AS FOLLOWS:
1. That Terrance Thomas Edwards is hereby appointed the
Director of Planning of the Town of Newcastle;
2. That Terrance Thomas Edwards shall be paid for his services
such a sum annually in accordance with the terms and conditions
set out in Schedule IIA" attached hereto;
3. The said appointment shall be in accordance with the terms
and conditions set out in Schedule "A" attached hereto;

4. By~Law 79-27 is hereby repealed;
5. By-Law 81-117 is hereby repealed.

SCHEDULE "A" TO BY-LAW 82-17
Terms and Conditions of appointment of
Terrance Thomas Edwards as Director
of Planning, Town of Newcastle
The following shall be the terms and conditions of the employment of
Terrance 1. Edwards as Director of Planning, Town of Newcastle, namely:
1. Effective February 1 1982, Mr. T.T. Edwards shall commence
his employment with the Corporation of the Town of
Newcastle as Director of Planning;
2. The duties and responsibilities of the Director of Planning
are established by By-Law 82-9, as maybe amended from
time to time;
3. T. T. Edwards shall be remunerated in accordance with the
Town's Salary Administration Program, Salary Grade 15, Start
Rate;
4. 1. 1. Edwa rds s ha 11 be ent it 1 ed to. all accumu 1 a ted benefi ts
presently earned, and shall be entitled to all other employee
benefits for non-affiliated staff as may be determined from
time to time;
5. The term of the appointment of Terrance Thomas Edwards as
Director of Planning shall be for a period of two years
from February 1 1982 unless otherwise mutually agreed,
provided that either party may terminate the agreement prior
to the expiry of the period upon six months notice in writing
to the other or on such notice period as may be mutually agreed.
