THE CORPORATION OF THE TOWN OF NEWCASTLE
BY-LAW NUMBER 82- 148
being a By-law to amend Restricted Area By-law 2111, as amended, of
the former Township of Darlington, now in the Town of Newcastle.
WHEREAS the Council of the Corporation of the Town of Newcastle deems
it advisable to amend Restricted Area (Zoning) By-law 2111, as
amended, of the former Township of Darlington.
NOW, THEREFORE, the Council of the Corporation of the Town of
Newcastle enacts as follows:
1. Schedule "A" to By-law 2111, as amended, is hereby further
amended by adding the designation "SPECIAL PROVISION BY-LAW 82-148 II
to the zoning designation of the lands indicated as "Zone Change to
Special Provision By-law 82-148" on the attached Schedule "X" hereto.
2. By-law 2111, as amended, is hereby further amended by adding
to Section 13 the following subsection (pp):
(pp) Notwithstanding any provision of this By-law to the contrary,
those lands outlined and designated "SPECIAL PROVISION BY-LAW
82-148" on Schedule 'AI hereto shall only be used in
accordance with the following provisions. In the event that
there is any conflict between the provisions of this SPECIAL
PROVISION and any other provisions of this By-law 2111, as
amended, then the provisions of this SPECIAL PROVISION shall
apply, but in the event that this SPECIAL PROVISION is silent
on any matter, then the provisions of this By-law 2111, as
amended, shall apply.
2. 1 Defi ned Area
The areas subject to this Special Provision are outlined and
designated Special Provision By-law 82-148 on Schedule 'A' to
this By-law.
2.2 Definitions
2.2.1 Industry - Dry Li ght
Shall mean an industry which is not offensive or likely
to be offensive by reason of the amount of noise, odour
or vibration produced therein and may include an
assembly, manufacturing or processing plant which does
not require water consumption or water use as part of
the industrial process.

2.2.2 Warehouse
Shall mean a building or part of a building used for
the storage and distribution of goods, wares,
merchandise, substances, articles or things, and may
include facilities for accessory office space and a
wholesale or retail commercial outlet.
2.3 Permitted Uses

(ii) Industry - Dry Light
