being a by-law to stop up and close andautllor:lze the
conveyance of all of Darcy Street lying, between Blocks
H and M, part of lot 'I\venty-Seven (27), Broken Front
Concession, Geographic Township of Clarke, former
County of Durham, designated as :Parts One (1), Tho (2),
Plan lOR l023; all of Clarke Street lying between
Blocks M and P, part lot 'l\venty-Seven (27), Broken
Front Concession, designated as :Parts Three (3),
Four (4), Five (5) and Six (6), Plan lOR 1023;
and all of Bond Street lying between Blocks l? and S,
part of lot Twenty-Seven (27), Broken Front Concession,
Geographic Township 0 f Clarke, former County of Ontario,
designated as :Parts Seven (7), Eight (8) and Nine (9),
Plan lOR 1023 now in the Town of Newcastle, in the
Regional Municipality of Durham.

WHEREAS the Council of the Corporation of the Town of Newcastle deEmS
it desirable to pass this by-law;
AND WHEREAS notice of intention of the Council to pass the said
by-law in accordance with the requirements of Section 446 of The
Municipal Act, R.S.O. 1970, Chapter 284, was publi~hed in the Newcastle
Reporter on the following dates: February 6, 1980, February l3, 1980,
February 20, 1980 and February 27, 1980;
AND WHEREAS notice of the intention of the Council to pass this
by-law was sent by registered mail to the Regional Municipality of Durham
on the 28th day of January 1980, and the Regional Council has granted
approval to the proposed by-law.
NOW 'lHEREFORE BE IT ENACl'ED AND IT IS HEREBY ENACIED AS A BY -LAW OF THE
OORIQRATION OF '!HE '!OWN OF NEWCASTLE AS FOLlOWS:
l. Those portions of Darcy Street, Clarke Street and Bond Street in the
Town of Newcastle hereinafter described are hereby stopped up and closed:
ALL AND SINGULAR those certain parcels or tracts of land
and pranises si tua te, lying and being in the Town of
Newcastle, Regional Municipality of Durham, Province
of Ontario, and being canposed of:

FIRSTLY: all of Darcy Street lying between Blocks H and
M, according to C. G. Hanning's Plan of the former
Village of Newcastle forming part of original Township
lot 'I\venty-Seven (27) in the Broken Front Concession of
the Geographic Township of Clarke, former County of Durham,
more particularly designated as Parts One (1) and 'I\vo (2)
according to Plan lOR l023, deposited in the Land Registry
Office for the Registry Division of Newcastle (#10) on
September 24 1979.

SECDNDLY; all of Clarke street lying between Blocks M and
P according to C. G. Hanning's Plan of the former
Village of Newcastle, forming part of original Tbwnship
Lot 'l\venty-Seven (27) in the Broken Front Concession of
the Geographic Tbwnsip of Clarke, former County of Durham,
rrore particularly designated as Parts Three (3), Four
(4), Five (5) and Six (6) according to said Plan lOR 1023.

S according to C. G. Hanning's Plan of the former
Village of Newcastle, forming part of original Tbwnship
Lot 'l\venty-Seven (27) in the Broken Front Concession of
the Geographic Township of Clarke, former County of Durham,
rrore particularly designated as Parts Seven (7), Eight (8)
and Nine (9) according to said Plan lOR 1023.
2. Those portions of the road allowance hereinbefore described
shall be conveyed by The Corporation of the Tbwn of Newcastle to
abutting owners.
