A BY-LAW TO CDNFIRM 'lliE PROCEEDINGS OF THE CDUNCIL
OF TIm 'l'aYN OF NEWCASTLE AT 'IlIIS MEETING HELD ON 'IBE
27th
DAY OF
19 80
February
WHEREAS by Section 9 of the Municipal Act, being Chapter 284
of the Revised Statues of Ontario, 1970, the powers of a nnmicipal
corporation are to be exercised by its Council;
AND WHEREAS by Subsection 1 of Section 241 of The Municipal Act,
being Chapter 284 of the Revised Statues of Ontario, 1970, the poweI:S
of every Council are to be exercised by by-law;
NJW 'IHEREFORE TIm CDUNCIL OF 'IBE 'TOWN OF NEWCASTLE ENACl'S AS FOLLOWS:
The actions of the Council of the Town of Newcastle at this
meeting held on the 27th day of February 19;80 in respect of each
reccmnendation contained in the reports of the Ccmnittees and
each notion and resolution passed and other action taken by the
Council of the Town of Newcastle at this meeting is hereby
adopted and confinned as if all such proceedings were 'expressly
anbodied in this by-law.
2. The Mayor and proper officials of the Town of Newcastle are
hereby authorized and directed to do all things necessary to
give effect to the actions of the Council of the Town of Newcastle
referred to in the preceeding section hereof.

3. The Mayor and Clerk are authorized and directed to execute all
documents necessary in that behalf and to affix thereto the Seal
of the Town of Newcastle.
