'!HE TOWN OF NEWCASTLE AT 'IHESE SPECIAL MEETING:) HElD
ON 'IRE II TH DAY OF AUGUST 1980, 15TH DAY OF AUGUST 1980,
29'llI DAY OF AUGUST 1980
WHEREAS by Section 9 of The Municipal Act, being Chapter 284 of the
Revised Statutes of Ontario 1970, the powers of a municipal corporation
are to be exercised by its Council.
AND WHEREAS by Subsection 1 of Section 241 of The Municipal Act, being
Chapter 284 of the Revised Statutes of Ontario 1970, the powers of
every Council are to be exercised by by-law;
NJW 'IHERER)RE 'IRE COUNCIL OF THE '!OWN OF NEWCASTLE ENACl'S AS FOILOWS:

1. The actions of the Council of the Town of Newcastle at these
meetings held on the II th day of August 1980, the 15th day of
August 1980, the 29th day of August 1980 in respect of each
reccmnendation contained in the reports of the Ccmni ttees and
each IIDtion and resolution passed and other action taken by the
Council of the Town of Newcastle at these meetings is hereby
adopted and confirmed as if all such proceedings were expressly
anbodied in this by-law.
2. The Mayor and proper officials of the Town of Newcastle are hereby
authorized and directed to do all things necessary to give effect
to the actions of the Council of the Town of Newcastle referred to
in the preceeding section hereof.
3. The Mayor and Clerk are authorized and directed to execute all
documents necessary in that behalf and to affix thereto the
Seal of the Town of Newcastle.
PASSED IN OPEN COUNCIL this 8th day of Septanber 1980.
