By-law No. 80- 11
Being a By-law to amend Tariff "A" of By-law #74-72, being a
by-law to provide f<:>r the establishing of rates and fares to be
charged by the owners or drivers of taxi cabs or other vehicles
used for hire
WHEREAS, the Council of the Corporation of the 'Ibwn of Newcastle deems it
advisable to amend by-law #74-72;
NCM THEREFORE, the Council of the Corporation of the 'Ibwn of Newcastle
hereby ENACI'S as follows:
1. That Tariff "A" to By-law #74-72 is hereby amended by deleting this section
and the following revised Tariff "A" substituted therein.
TARIFF "A"
BY DISTANCE
One to Four Passengers
for the first one-tenth (ljlO) mile or part thereof
for each additional one-tenth (l/lO) mile or part thereof
for waiting time while under engagement, for one (l) minute
for each additional passenger, adult or child (except babies in
anus ( a flat charge of

Except that reduced rate may be granted to Senior Citizens.
A copy of the above tariff shall be prominently displayed
in all taxicabs.
