'IlIE CQRFQRATIQN QF TIlE '!OWN OF NEWCASTLE BY-LAW 80-l09 being a by-law to stop up and close and authorize the conveyance of that portion of Church Street fonning part of the original LDt Fourteen (l4) in the Eighth Concession of the geographic Township of Darlington, former County of Durham, now in the Town of Newcastle, in the Regional Municipality of Durham WHEREAS the Council of The Corporation of the Town of Newcastle deans it desirable to pass this by-law; AND WHEREAS notice of intention of the Council to pass the said by-law in accordance with the requirEments of Section 446 of The Municipal Act, R.S.O. 1970, Chapter 284, was published in the Canadian Statesman on the following dates: August 6 1980, August l3 1980, August 20 1980, August 27 1980 AND WHEREAS notice of the intention of the Council to pass this by-law was sent by registered mail to the Regional Municipality of Durham on the 3lst day of July 1980, and the Regional Council has granted approval to the proposed by-law. row 'IHEREFORE BE IT ENAcrED AND IT IS HEREBY ENAcrED as a by-law of the Corporation of the Town of Newcastle as follows: 1. That portion of Church Street in the Town of Newcastle hereinafter described is hereby stopped up and closed. AIL AND SINGULAR that certain parcel or tract of land and premises situate, lying and being in the Town of Newcastle, Regional Municipality of Durham, Province of Ontario, and being canposed. of all of that portion of Church Street according to John Grant's Plan of the Village of Charlesville (now known as Haydon) lying between Nelson Street and Moor Street, fonning part of original Township LDt Fourteen (14) in the Eighth Concession of the Geographic Township of Darlington, former County of Durham, more particularly designated as Parts Ten (lO) and Eleven (ll) according to Plan lOR l13l, deposited in the Land Registry Office for the Registry Division of Newcastle (#lO) on May 29 1980. 2. That portion of the road allowance hereinbefore described shall be conveyed by The Corporation of the Town of Newcastle to abutting owners.
