'lHE OORroRATION OF '!HE TOWN OF NEWCASTLE
BY-LAW 80-l08
being a by-law to stop up and close and authorize the conveyance of
all that portion of Gold Street Northerly adjacent to Block 48
according to C. G. Hanning's Plan of the fonner Village of Newcastle,
forming part of original Township Lot 'I\venty-Seven (27), in the
First Coneession of the fonner Village of Newcastle, more particularly
designated as Part One (1), Plan lOR 1108.
WHEREAS the Council of the Corporation of the Town of Newcastle deans it
desirable to pass this by-law;
AND WHEREAS notice of intention of the Council to pass the said by-law in
accordance with the requiranents of Section 446 of The Municipal Act, R.S.O. 1970,
Chapter 284, was published in the Reporter on the following dates: July 23 1980,
July 30 1980, August 6 1980 and August l3 1980.
AND WHEREAS notice of the intention of the Council to pass this by-law was sent
by registered mail to the Regional Municipality of Durham, on the II th day of
July 1980, and the Regional Council has granted approval to the proposed by-law.
row 'IHERE.FDRE BE IT ENACI'ED AND IT IS HEREBY ENACI'ED as a by-law of the Corporation
of the Town of Newcastle as follows:
1. All that portion of Gold Street Northerly adjacent to Block 48 in the Town
of Newcastle (fonnerly Village of Newcastle) hereinafter described are
hereby stopped up and closed;
AIL AND SINGULAR that certain parcel or tract of land, situate, lying
and being in the Town of Newcastle, Regional Municipality of Durham,
Province of Ontario, and being canposed of all that portion of Gold
Street Northerly adjacent to Block 48 according to C. G. Hanning's Plan
of the fonner Village of Newcastle, forming part of original Township
Lot Twenty-seven (27) in the First Concession of the fonner Village of
Newcastle, more particularly designated as Part One (l) according to
Plan lOR ll08 deposited in the Land Registry Office for the Registry
Division of Newcastle (#lO) on April 16 1980.
2. All that portion of Gold Street Northerly adjacent to Block 48, hereinbefore
described shall be conveyed by The Corporation of the Town of Newcastle to
abutting owners.
By-Law read a first and second time this 8th day of September 1980.
By-Law read a third and final time this 8th day of September 1980.
