Chairperson, Todd Taylor called the meeting to order at 7:00 pm.
2. Disclosures of Pecuniary Interest
There were no pecuniary interests stated for this meeting.
3. Applications:
3.1 A2019-0004 Applicant: Jim Groves

The owner made a verbal presentation to the Committee regarding the application. The
explanation for the proposed variance was similar to what was outlined in the report
prepared for this application.
There were no questions from the Committee or members of the public in objection or
support.
Chairperson, Todd Taylor asked whether the applicant is aware of the condition on
page eight of the Staff Report as part of the recommendation for approval.
The applicant replied in the affirmative.

Moved by Shelly Pohjola, Seconded by Glynn Green.
"Based on our review of the application, all verbal comments received and the agency
comments submitted, the application is deemed minor in nature, is considered desirable
for the appropriate development and use of the land and maintains the general intent
and purpose of the Zoning By-law and the Official Plans. The application to permit the
construction of a detached garage by increasing the maximum accessory floor area
from 60 square metres to 69.85 square metres is APPROVED subject to the following
condition:
1. Any driveway connecting the new garage to Oatley Court must be setback a
minimum of 1.2 metres from the adjacent property to the east."

The representative for the applicant Taskforce Engineering Inc., Hillary Murphy, made a
verbal presentation to the Committee regarding the application. The explanation for the
proposed variance was similar to what was outlined in the report prepared for this
application.
There were no questions from the Committee or members of the public in objection or
support.
Committee member Shelley Pohjola, questioned the staff whether the berm requirement
was site specific.
Acting Secretary Treasurer, Shahzad Mir, replied in the affirmative.
Moved by Shelley Pohjola, Seconded by Dave Eastman.
"Based on our review of the application, all verbal comments received and the agency
comments submitted, the application is deemed minor in nature, is considered desirable
for the appropriate development and use of the land and maintains the general intent
and purpose of the Zoning By-law and the Official Plans. The application to provide
relief from the required landscape berm adjacent to the 401/418 corridor, and the east
limit of the M1-9 Zone is APPROVED.

4. Adoption of Minutes of Previous Meeting
The minutes of the meeting of the Committee of Adjustment held on January 31, 2019,
will require a correction of language. The minutes will be recirculated again.
5. Other Business:
The Committee and Staff discussed the following issues:
1. Committee members requested staff to review the Decision and Minutes of the
Committee of Adjustment from January 31, 2018 to ensure it reflected the correct
language stated by the Committee.
x Appeal date for the foregoing applications is March 14, 2019.
x Next Meeting of the Committee of Adjustment is March 21, 2019.
6. Adjournment
