TO~7N OF NEWCASTLE
BY-LAW NO. 74-86
Being a by-law to confirm action of the
Corporation in selling parts of Lot 10,
Broken Front Concession, Town of Bowmanville
to Port Darlington Boat Basin.
WHEREAS the Council of the Corporation of the Town of
Newcastle, by Resolution No. C-74-1227, passed on the 4th day of November,
1974, authorized the sale of 1.748 acres of land to Port Darlington Boat
Basin,
AND WHEREAS it is desirable that a by-law be passed
in order to confi~m the action taken by the said Resolution;
NOW THEREFORE BE IT ENACTED and it is hereby enacted
as a by-law of the Cor?oration of the Town of Newcastle, by the Council
thereof as follows:
1. The sale of 1.748 acres of land, being Part of Lot 10, in the
Broken Front Concession of The Town of Bowmanville to Port Darl-
ington Boat Basin for the sum of $6,000.00 per acre as authorized
by Resolution No. C-74-1227, passed by the Council of the Corpor-
ation of the Town of Newcastle on the 4th day of November, 1974
is hereby ratified ani confirmed.

2. All actions taken by The Corpo~ation of the Town of Newcastle,
including the actions of the Mayor and the Clerk in executing
and delivering a Deed of the said land to Robert Irving Gill,
The Senior, and Robert Irving Gill, The Junior, carrying on
business as Port Darlington Boat Basin, are ratified and confirmed.
3. The land referred to in this by-law is described as follows:
ALL AND SINGULAR that certain parcel or tract of land and premises
situate, lying and being in the Town of Newcastle, in the Regional
Municipality of Durham formerly in the Town of Bowmanville in the
County of Durham, and being composed of Parts of Lot 10, Broken
Front Concession, in the Tovrn of Bowmanvil1e and being more
particularly shown and designated as Part 2 and Part 4 on a
Reference Plan deposited in the Registry Office for the Registry
Division of Durham West (Number 10) on the 29th day of October,
1973 as Plan 10R251, and alse being as to Part 2 part of Fourth
and George Streets Part of Block "N" part of unsubdivided Township
Lot 10 and as to Part 4 being part of Block "N" part of George
Street and paTt of unsubdivided Township Lot 10.
