AS AilENDEJ OF ThE F'O,{[lEL TO\JN OF
B()vJHANVILLE
1;IHEREAS the Ministry of Correctional Serv ices have 8.)jJlied for an
amendment to Zoning By-law 1587 of the former Town of Bowmanville
to permit establishment of a group home for boys graduated from the
Pine Ridge School, and;
1;JiiEltEAS the Planning Adv isory Committee of the To"m of Newcastle
have recomwended the passing of such an amendment;
NO'iiJ THEREFORE pursuant to the Planning Act~ R.S.O. 1970, Chapter 349,
Section 35 ~ the Council of the TO'dn of Ne\vcastle enacts as follows:
10 That By-law No. 1587 as amended of the former Town of Bowmanville
be~ and the same is hereby amended by adding the following Sutsection
~ ~4.5 to Section 24:
~4.5 Notwithstanding any provisions of this by-law to the
contrarY5 that part of Lot 8 Concession 2 so indicated on
Schedule A which is attached hereto may be l),sad as a group home
for not more than 8 toys~ being wards of the Pine Ridge School,
and tvw houseparents employed and resident on the premises to
have care and supervision of the said toys.
2. This by-lm'j shall come into effect on the day it is pas sed by
Council SlJ.t'j ect to the aPcJroval of the Ontario l'hmicipal Board.
