THE CORPORATION OF THE MUNICIPALITY OF CLARINGTON
BY-LAW NO. 2007-120
Being a by-law to close Part of the Road Allowance between
Concession 1 and Broken Front Concession, Darlington,
designated as Part 3 on Plan 40R-24789, Clarington, as a
public highway pursuant to section 34 of the Municipal Act,
2001, S.D. 2001, c.25, as amended.
WHEREAS Council has determined that Part 3 on Plan 40R-24789 should be closed as
a public highway,
AND WHEREAS The Corporation of the Township of Darlington became The
Corporation of the Town of Newcastle on January 1, 1974 by virtue of the enactment of
the Regional Municipality of Durham Act, 1974, S.O. 1974 and whereas The Corporation
of the Town of Newcastle became The Corporation of the Municipality of Clarington by
virtue of the enactment of an amendment to the Regional Municipality of Durham Act,
1993, S.O. 1993, Chap. 3 on July 1, 1993. Any reference to The Corporation of the
Township of Darlington is deemed to be The Corporation of the Municipality of
Clarington.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT ENACTED BY the Council of The Corporation of the
Municipality of Clarington enacts as follows:
1. THAT Part of the Road Allowance between Concession 1 and Broken Front
Concession, Darlington, designated as Part 3 on Plan 40R-24789, Clarington, is
hereby closed as a public highway pursuant to section 34 of the Municipal Act,
2001, S.D. 2001, c.25, as amended.
By-law read a first and second time this 28th day of May, 2007.
By-law read a third time and finally passed this 28th day of May, 2007.
