THE CORPORATION OF THE MUNICIPALITY OF ClARINGTON
BY-lAW NO. 2007 - 037
Being a By-law to appoint Members to
the Clarington Library Board
and to repeal By-law 2004-025.
WHEREAS Section 9(1) of the Public Libraries Act, RS.O. 1990, provides that a
public library board for a municipality whose population is less than 100,000,
shall be composed of at least five (5) members appointed by the Municipal
Cou ncil;
AND WHEREAS pursuant to the requirements of the Public Libraries Act, RS,O.
1990, the Council of the Corporation of the Municipality of Clarington enacted
By-law 2003-188, establishing the Composition of the Clarington Public Library
Board;
NOW THEREFORE THE COUNCil OF THE CORPORATION OF THE
MUNICIPALITY OF ClARINGTON HEREBY ENACTS AS FOllOWS:
1. THAT the following persons be appointed to the Clarington Public Library
Board for a term concurrent with the term of the appointing Councilor until
a successor is appointed:
Brenda Carrigan
Judy Hagerman
Allan Hewitt
latifun (Ashna) Prasad
Brian Purdy
Gail Rickard
John Witheridge
Councillor Adrian Foster
Councillor Charlie Trim
2. THAT By-law 2004-025 is hereby repealed.
BY-lAW read a first time this 29th day of January 2007.
BY-lAW read a second time this 29th day of January 2007.
BY-lAW read a third time and finally passed this 29th day of January 2007.
