Minutes of a special meeting of Council
held on Friday, July 6, 2001 at
9:00 a.m., in the Council Chambers
PRAYERS
Councillor Schell led the meeting in prayer.

There were no disclosures of pecuniary interest stated for this meeting.

THAT the meeting be "closed" for the purpose of discussing a legal
matter.

THAT the actions taken during the "closed" session be ratified.

BY -LAWS
Resolution #C-430-01
Moved by Councillor Schell, seconded by Councillor Rowe
THAT leave be granted to introduce By-law 2001-141, being a by-law to
maintain a safe and secure work environment at the Municipal
Administrative Centre and the Orono Works Yard and that the said
by-law be now read a first and second time.

THAT the third and final reading of By-law 2001-141 be approved.

CONFIRMING BY -LAW
Resolution #C-432-01
Moved by Councillor Schell, seconded by Councillor Rowe
THAT leave be granted to introduce By-law 2001-142, being a by-law to
confirm the proceedings of the Council of the Municipality of Clarington
at this special meeting held on the 6th day of July 2001, and that the said
by-law be now read a first and second time.
