BY-LAW NO. 2000- 98
being a by-law to amend By-law 90-178, being a by-law to
regulate the setting of fires within the Municipality of Clarington
WHEREAS the Council of the Municipality of Clarington at the meeting of June 26, 2000,
adopted the recommendations contained within Report FD-10-00.
NOW THEREFORE the Council of the Corporation of the Municipality of Clarington
hereby enacts as follows:
1 . THAT By-law 90-178 is hereby amended in Paragraph 1 by adding the following
words thereto after the words 'open air":
"unless approved by the Fire Chief or his designate"
2. THAT By-law 90-178 is hereby further amended by deleting Paragraph 2(a) and
replacing it with the following wording:
"small confined fires, supervised at all times and used to cook food on a grill
or barbecue;"
By-law read a first and second time this 26th day of June 2000.
By-law read a third time and finally passed this 26th day of June 2000.
