Darlington Township Council met in the Municipal Building on
this date, all Members present except Councillor Dow, Reeve Muir
presiding. .
Moved by Deputy Reeve Down and Councillor Gibbs that the
minutes of the meeting held June 6, 1968 be adopted as read.
Moved by Councillor Brown and Deputy i'eeve Down that accounts
for the month of May, 1968, as listed herewith be paid.

Moved by Deputy Reeve Down and Councillor Gibbs that the
Treasurer is authorized to issue cheques to Wm. Ashton, in the amount
$195.60 and $205.51, in advance payment of wages and holiday pay for
period from June 15, 1968 to July 15, 1968, on this date.
Moved by Councillors Gibbs and ~rown that the Township's
Solicitor be instructed to prepare conveyances to acquire title to
School properties at Haydon,3ase Line and Solina for Community Centre
purposes.

is instructed to consult the Department of Transport regarding a
possible speed limit on Nash Road.
Moved by Councillor Gibbs and Deputy Reeve Down that a letter
be sent to the Counties' Council asking that a speed limit be considered
through the Village of Tyrone.
Moved by Deputy Reeve Down and Councillor Gibbs that the
following are appointed to the Darlington Community Centre Board:
Ted Chant, Gordon rieech, Wes Yellowlees, Orme Robertson,

fOllowing are appointed to the Zion Community Centre Board for 1968:

Councillors Gibbs and Dow.
Moved by Councillors Gibbs and Brown that the Reeve and Clerk
are authorized to execute a certificate of permanency regarding the
employmmnt of Chas. L. Warren.
Moved by Councillors Brown and Gibbs that this Council agrees
to close that part of Base Line road west of Prestonvale Road provided
that the owners of the abutting lands agree to the closing and to pay
the costs of closing.
Moved by Councillors Gibbs and Brown that a letter and
application from E.G.McNeely re Kamstra be referred to Planning Board
for recommendation.
Moved by Councillor Gibbs and Deputy Reeve Down that Rule 33
be suspended for the duration of this meeting.

Moved by Deputy Reeve Down and Councillor Drown that, referring
to a letter from Central Lake Ontario Conservation Authority, dated
June 20, 1968, dealing with cost estimates of the Enniskillen pond
project, the Authority be informed that:
1. The Township has an appropriation of $~500.00 in 1968
estimates for this project, and does not feel that an
increase in the amount can be justified.
2. This Council cannot commit a future Council to an
expenditure of this kind.
Moved by Councillor Brown and Deputy Reeve Down that this
meeting adjourn.
