Hampton, August 15, 196B.
Darlington Township Council met in the Municipal Building on
this date, all Members present, Reeve Muir presiding.
Moved by Deputy Reeve Down and Councillor Dow that the minutes
of the meeting held August 1, be approved as read.
Moved by Councillors Dow and Gibbs that:
WHEREAS, by Instrument No. 16155, registered on the 7th day of
March, 1938, William L~ynolds conveyed 85/100 acres of part of lot 5
in the 8th Concession of the Township of Darlington to the Corporation of
the Township of Darlington in consideration of the said William Reynolds
being able to use the original road allowance between Lots 4 & 5 in
the 8th Concession;
AND WHEREAS Robert Sim, the present owner of the North-east
quarter of Lot 5 and the North-west quarter of Lot 4 in the 8th. Concession
has used the said road allowance for many years;
NOW THE1~F01~ the Council of the Corporation of the Township
of Darlington hereby confirms the right of Robert Sim, his successors,
heirs and assigns, to use the unopened road allowance lying between
Lots 4 & 5 in the Bth. Concession running Southerly from the North limit
to a creek crossing the road allowance in the South half of the said
Concession to the exclusion of other persons until such time as the
Township may require the original road allowance for public purposes,
and passes a By-law opening the said road allowance.
Moved by Councillor Dow and Deputy Reeve Down that Hr. H.
Goldstein be informed that, referring to a proposal contained in his
letter dated August 9, 1968, that the draft sub-division agreement
previously presented will not be altered.

Moved by Councillors Gibbs and Brown that the resignationnof
Mrs. Sheila Schuddeboom is accepted with regret.
Moved by Deputy Reeve Down and Councillor Dow that the Treasurer
is authorized to pay the Bank of Montreal the sum of $700.00, being the
Bank's fee for collection of current taxes in 1968.
Moved by Councillors Gibbs and Brown that Rule 33 be suspended
the duration of this meeting.
On motions as filed a By-law to amend By-law 23B3 was given
several readings, signed sealed and numbered 2391.
Moved by Councillor Brown and Deputy Reeve Down that accounts
for the month of July 1968, as listed herewith, be paid.
