Darlington Township Council met in the Municipal Building
on this date, all Members present, Reeve Muir presiding..
Moved by Councillors Gibbs and Brown that the minutes of the
meeting held August 15, 1968, be adopted as read.
Moved by Councillors Dow and Brown that Reeve Muir, Deputy
Reeve Down and the Clerk be a Committee to conduct further discussion on
Regional Government with a Committee of the Council of the City of Oshawa.
Moved by Councillor Gibbs and Deputy Reeve Down that Road
for the month of August 1968, in the amount of $23,538.20, as
by the Road Committee, be paid.
Moved by Councillors Gibbs and Brown that W.A.Theisburger's
claim presented to this meeting be forwarded to the Township's Insurers
and that Mr. Theisburger be informed of this action.
Moved by Deputy Reeve Down and Councillor Dow that this
Township advertise for applications for the position of Assistant
Road Superintendent.
Moved by Councillors Gibts and Brown that Rule 33 be
suspended for the duration of this meeting.

a sub-division agreement was given its several readings, signed, sealed
and numbered 2392.

Moved by Councillors Gibbs and grown that the Clerk
Administrator is authorized to hire Mrs. E. Philip as Clerk-Typist for
this Township at $ 4200.00 per annum.
Moved by Councillor Dow and Deputy Reeve Down that the
Township Solicitor and Clerk are instructed to investigate a matter
presented by the Solicitor for Brookdale Kingsway Ltd., and to consult
the Engineering Consultant, and report to Council.
Moved by Deputy Reeve Down and Councillor ~rown that this
meeting adjourn.
