Darlington Township Council met in the Municipal Building on
this date, Reeve Muir presiding~ all Members present.
Moved by Councillors ~rown and Gibbs that the minutes of the
meeting held October 3rd,1968, be adopted as read.
Moved by C<iuncillorBrown and Deputy Reeve Down that Accounts
for the month of September, 1968, as listed herewith, be paid:

Moved by Councillors Gibbs and Brown that the Minister of
Energy and Resources Management is hereby petitioned to exclude any
part of this Township from the proposed Scugog Region Conservation
Authority, as the part of this Township that would be included is very
small and as it does not appear that the Township could benefit by
being a Member Municipality of the proposed Authority.
Moved by Deputy Reeve Down and Councillor Dow that a special
meeting of Council shall be held on Monday October 21, 1968, at 8 P.M.
for the purpose of opening tenders for a motor grader, and to transact
other business.
Moved by Councillors Dow and Gibbs that fees for Selectors
of Jurors be set at $10.00 for each Member of the Committee.
Moved by Councillors Gibbs and Brown that Rule 33 be
suspended for the duration of this meeting.
On motions as filed a By-law to provide for the Nomination
and Election of Reeve, Deputy Reeve, 3 Councillors and certain School
Trustees was given its several readings, signed, sealed and numbered
2397.
Moved by Councillor Dow and Deputy Reeve Down that this
meeting adjourn.
