Hampton, September 20, 1967.
Darlington Township Council met in the Municipal Building on
this date, Reeve Muir presiding, Deputy Reeve Down and Councillors Gibbs
and Dow present.
Moved by Councillor Dow and Deputy Reeve Down that the
minutes of the meeting held September 7, 1967, be adopted as read.
Moved by Deputy Reeve Do\VD and Councillor Dow that accounts
for the month of August, 1967, as listed herewith, be paid.

Moved by Deputy Reeve Down and Councillor Dow that the Clerk
inform the Department of Transport of a petition filed by residents of
Solina Road requesting that a speed limit be placed on Solina Road, and
request a survey of the situation.
Moved by Councillor Gibbs and D~~eve Down that a report
on crossing elimination and protection at ffi~!Darlington Townline,
submitted by Totten, Sims, Hubicki & Associates, dated Sept. 1, 1967,
is approved in principle by this Council, and that Mr. Sims. is
instructed to proceed to arrange a further meeting as suggested in the
report.
Moved by Deputy Reeve Down and Councillor Dow that the City
of Oshawa be advised that this Township does not intend to pursue the
matter of City fire protection to the Township, at present.
On motion as filed, By-law 2366, to authorize an agreement
with Community Telephone Company, was given its Third reading, signed
and sealed.
Moved by Councillors Gibbs and Dow that this meeting adjourn.
