HAMPTON, NOVEMBER 16, 1967.
Darlington Township Council met in the Municipal Building on
this date, Reeve Muir presiding, Councillor B~wn absent.
Moved by Deputy Heeve Do~m and Councillor Gibbs that the
minu~es of the meeting held November 2, 1967, be adopted as read.
Moved by Deputy Reeve Down and Councillor Gibbs that accounts
for the month of October, 1967, as listed herewith, be paid:

Moved by Councillor Gibbs and Deputy Reeve Down that,
referring to a notice of an application by Canadian Pacific Railways
for approval of the removal of agents and caretaker agents from its
Trenton Division, this Council will not take action to oppose the
application.
Moved by Deputy "'eeve Down and Councillor Dow that
referring to &ailway Transport Committee File # 26727, Town Line level
crossing, the Council of the Township of Darlington hereby confirms
that it will bear its share of costs as outlined in the Committee's
letter dated November 7, 1967.
Moved by Councillor Gibbs and Deputy "~eve Down that
referring to Railway Transport Committee File # 26727.339, C.P.R.
Crossing on Lot 1, between Concessions 1 and 2, the Council of the
Township of Darlington hereby confirms that it will bear its share of
costs as outlined in the Committee's letter dated November 7, 1967.
Moved by Councillor Gibbs and Councillor Dow that, having
considered this Township's project for paving part of Nash }~ad, known
as part "A" of Contract No. 67-7 of the Count:tdls of Northumberland
and Durham, this Council is of the opinion that, as the Contractor has
not commenced this work at this date, it is extremely improbable that
a satisfa~tory standard would be achieved, and therefore, the contract
will be and is hereby cancelled.
Moved by Councillor Dow and Ueputy ueeve Down that the
location of three hydro poles on the Townshl~'s property in part bfthe
west half of Lot 20, Concession 3, as shown on a plan received by this
Township on November 14, 1967, Is hereby approved.
Moved by Councillors Gibbs and Dow that Clerk be instructed
to write and advise Totten,Sims,Hubicki & Assoc. Ltd., to the effect that
the Township of Darlington is not interested in any paved sidewalks in
regards to construction on Highway # 2, commencing at the easterly limit
of the City of Oshawa for a distance of appro~imately 2000 feet,--
refer to letter dated Nov. 9, 1967.
Moved by Deputy Reeve Down and Councillor Dow that this
meeting be adjourned.
