Hampton, November 30th, 1967.
Darlington Township Council met in Special Session on this
date to discuss the issue of Debentures for Public School purposes, and to
transact other business, Reeve Muir in the chair, all members present.

Moved by Councillor Dow and Deputy Reeve Down that, having
considered the proposal of the Darlington Public School Board, that the
Township should issue debentures in the capital amount of $120,000.00 to
finance an addition to the Enniskillen SChool, this Council is of the
opinion that because of impending legislation affecting the future
composition of school area boundaries, and being in doubt as to whether
or not future boards would approve of the proposed location, this Council
regrets that it cannot approve of the proposed debenture issue at this
time.
