Darlington Township Council met in Special Session on this date,
all members present, Reeve Blanchard presiding.

Moved by Deputy Reeve Muir and Councillor'that the terms of
agreement proposed as conditions to approval of a plan of sub-division
submitted by Walter Parrinder, part Lot 25, Concession 6, shall be, in
addition to the terms set out by the Minister of Municipal Affairs, the
following: 1. That a block of land 66 feet by 200 feet be designated
as reserve for future road allowance.
2. That a one foot reserve at the west end of the reserve for street be
dedicated to the Township.
3. That the sale of lots be limited to not more than two each year.
It. That the owner agree to pay to the Township an amount of money
equal to 5% of the value of the lands being sub-divided.
5. That the owner agree to pay the Township's costs of processing this
application, including the costs of appraising the value of the lands.
Moved by Councillors Budai and Down that rule 33 be suspended
for the duration of this meeting.
Moved by Councillors Budai and Down that the matter of sub-
division proposals in the Hampton area as contained in a recommendation
from Planning Board be tabled for further study.
On motions as filed a By-law to provide for borrowing a sum
of money not to exceed $100,000.00 to meet costs of constructing the
M. J. Hobbs School was given its several readings, signed, sealed and
numbered 2326.

Moved by Deputy Reeve Muir and Councillor Gibbs that the
Durham County District High School Board be informed that on the advice
of the Township's Engineering Consultant, the Township will not permit
deepening the road ditches to a depth sufficient to drain the Board's
property in Lot 29, Concession 3, and that the Board is advised to
make arrangements to carry drainage from the property over private lands.
Moved by Councillor Gibbs and Deputy Reeve Muir that the
Clerk write to Alvin Metcalf and Ted Foley offering the prices given
in the appraisers report for the lands to be acquired for improvement
at the Foley grade crossing, and that copies of the appraisers report
be forwarded with each.
Moved by Deputy Reeve Muir and Councillor Gibbs that the
Road Supt. be authorized to attend the 1966 School for Road Superintendents
at Guelph on May 8 - 11, 1966, and that advance registration fee be paid.1
Moved by Councillor Gibbs and Deputy Reeve Muir that the
abandoned road right-of-way between Concessions 2 and 3, at Lots 32 and
33, be closed and conveyed to the property owners whose lands adjoin the
former road.
Moved by Councillors Gibbs and Down that this meeting adjourn.
