!arlington Township Council met in Special Session on
this date, Reeve Blanchard presiding, Deputy Reeve Muir and Councillor
Gibbs attending.
Moved by Councillor Gibbs and Deputy Reeve Muir that
tenders for gravel crushing be received and opened.
Moved byjDeputy Reeve Muir and Councillor Gibbs that the
tender of Fred Nelson & Sons Ltd. to crush gravel for the Township of
Darlington in 1966, be accepted as tendered, subject to the approval of
the Department of Highways of Ontario.!
Moved by Deputy Reeve Muir and Councillor Gibbs that
Totten Sims and Associates Ltd be authorized to inform Seegmiller
Construction Co., that, due to the condition of haul roads to the
Development Road project, the Township prefers that the Company delay the
commencement of the work until the roads have settled, and that if an
extension of the completion date is necessary because of this delay,
Council will consider such a request favourably.
Moved by Councillor Gibbs and Deputy Reeve Muir that the
Rpad Superintendent is heyebY authorized to hire equipment of
Beaverdale Construction Co. to carry out earth moving projects
provided for in the 1966 programme, at prices not greater than agreed upon
by the Beaverdale Co., and the United Counties.J
Moved by Councillor Gibbs and Deputy Reeve Muir that the
Clerk-Administrator be authorized to purchase a desk and chair for the
Assessor's office.
Moved by Deputy Reeve Muir and Councillor Gibbs that the
Clerk and Building Inspector be authorized to have lights installed in
the Council Room and to have trim on the new offices varnished.
Moved by Councillor Gibbs and Deputy Reeve Muir that this
meeting adj ourn.
